How can we help you?

How do I make sure I'm getting all relevant emails from Scoop?

  • Updated

Sometimes, employer email services can make it hard to get communications from Scoop. Changing your primary email address to your personal email ensures you'll continue to receive all communications from Scoop, and this won't affect your eligibility for applicable promotional pricing.

To Save a New Email Address to Your Scoop Account

  1. Tap the Account icon located in the bottom menu of the app
  2. Then tap Settings
  3. From the Settings menu, tap Account
  4. Then tap the arrow next to your email address
  5. Tap Add an email and enter the new email address you'd like to save to your Scoop account
  6. You will receive a verification email to that email address shortly after saving it in the app. Follow the instructions contained in the email to complete the verification process.

Once your new email is verified, you can make it your 'Primary' contact email by tapping on it in your list of saved emails.

Note: If you signed up for Scoop using Apple Single Sign On and selected “Hide My Email”, make sure to turn on email forwarding for the Scoop app in your Apple Settings on your phone.

Additional Scoop-Related Emails

In addition to emails from Scoop, you may also receive emails from trusted, industry-leading third-party providers. These emails are related to specific features or verification processes and cannot be updated directly in the app.

  • Payment receipts: Scoop uses Stripe to handle trip payments. Stripe sends weekly email receipts (typically on Saturdays) for all credit/debit card charges made to your Scoop account when you have a negative account balance. If you need to update the email address where receipts are sent, please contact our support team.

  • Cash-out invoices: Scoop uses Bill.com to handle cash outs initiated by commuters for their positive balance. Bill.com sends email invoices once a cash out has been initiated. If you need to update the email address where invoices are sent, please contact our support team.

  • Driver verification: Commuters completing the Driver verification process may receive emails from our third-party vendor, Checkr, to complete their MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check. If information was entered incorrectly, you may need to follow the instructions in the email from Checkr or contact ScoopCare for assistance.
