For information on scheduling a carpool while using shift scheduling see the following section of the article.
Scheduling your daily commute with Scoop is quick and simple! Morning and evening carpools are scheduled separately, giving you flexibility throughout your day.
Scheduling deadlines:
Morning carpools must be scheduled by 9:00 PM the evening prior to the trip taking place.
Afternoon/Evening carpools must be scheduled by 2:00 PM on the same day of the carpool.
Once the scheduling deadline has passed, Scoop begins matching commuters into the most efficient carpools. This process typically takes 10–15 minutes, after which you'll receive a notification with your match status.
How to schedule a carpool
- Tap the Trip Card for a specific commute leg (e.g. Tuesday morning)
- Choose whether you want to ride or drive.
- You can also choose to be matched as either a Rider or a Driver if you're flexible!
- Select your origin and destination from your saved addresses.
-
Select a pickup window that you can commit to.
- If you select a pickup window of at least 45 minutes, you’ll be able to set your preferred pickup time within the range.
- Preferred pickup times let you select your ideal 15-minute pickup window within a scheduled pickup window of 45 minutes or more. We'll always try to match you as close as possible to your preferred time, but if a match isn't available, we'll match you to the next best available time within your full selected pickup window.
- Tap Schedule.
Riders and Drivers are welcome to schedule their carpools up to a week in advance and we’ll automatically match you into an efficient, traffic-predictive carpool. Early scheduling is encouraged as this allows us to better match commuters.
That’s all there is to it! A few taps and your carpool is scheduled – we take care of the rest.

Bulk Scheduling
If your commute schedule is the same on multiple days, you can save time by using Bulk Scheduling.
After selecting your role, addresses, and pickup time for one day, tap the arrow to expand the scheduling options, then select Schedule for multiple days.
From there, choose any available days later in the work week to apply the same schedule. Your selected carpool role, addresses, pickup window, and preferences will automatically be copied to those days, making it easy to schedule multiple carpools in just a few taps.
📝Note: Bulk Scheduling applies only to the same commute leg. For example, if you're scheduling an evening commute, you can copy that schedule to other available evening commutes that week. Morning and evening commutes are scheduled separately, so you'll need to repeat the process if you'd like to bulk schedule both.
Bulk Scheduling can only be applied to days that are currently available for scheduling within the same week. For example, if you're scheduling a Tuesday commute, you can copy your schedule to the remaining available work days that week, but not across the weekend into the following week.
Scheduling a carpool while using shift scheduling
📝 Note: shift scheduling is only available for commuters whose employers are a part of a specific Enterprise carpool Program. If your employer is a part of a program offering shift scheduling, you will see it within the Scoop app.
Shift scheduling allows you to schedule round-trip carpools for each shift, so you’ll know your return trip details before your shift begins.
Scheduling deadline:
The standard scheduling deadline is 6:00 PM the day before your going to work trip takes place.
For Shift Scheduling, the deadline is based on your local worksite time zone and will be clearly displayed in the app. Be sure to check the app for the exact deadline that applies to your commute.
You’ll be notified of your round-trip carpool details shortly after the scheduling deadline has ended.
