How do I remove myself from the carpool shortlist?

  • Updated

If you schedule a carpool as a Rider and are not matched during the normal matching period, you’ll be automatically added to the carpool shortlist. The carpool shortlist allows Drivers view unmatched requests and create a carpool.

Removing yourself from the carpool shortlist

You can delete your carpool shortlist request as long as you haven’t been matched yet. Once matched, Scoop's standard cancellation policy will apply to the trip.

To remove yourself from the carpool shortlist:

  1. From your trip card, tap View shortlist

  2. Tap Edit request

  3. Tap Delete request at the bottom of the screen

Important things to know

  • There is no cancellation penalty for deleting a pending carpool shortlist request before you are matched

  • Once you delete your request, you cannot rejoin the carpool shortlist for that trip

  • After deleting your request, Scoop will no longer be able to match you in a carpool for that commute

If you remain on the carpool shortlist and are not matched within 30 minutes, you may become eligible for backup commute options, depending on your employer’s carpool program.

If your employer sponsors backup commute options and you choose to claim your ride credit, your carpool shortlist request will be automatically deleted.
