What should I do if I left an item behind during a carpool?

If you realize you left an item behind after your carpool has completed, contacting the Driver as soon as possible is always the fastest way to retrieve it.

Contact your Driver immediately

You have 15 minutes after your scheduled arrival time to contact the Driver directly through the Scoop app. Use the text or call option to let them know what you left behind and arrange a way to retrieve it.

Contact ScoopCare if you miss the 15-minute window

If you realize your item was left behind after the 15-minute window, reach out to ScoopCare here for assistance. 

Provide details such as

  • A description of the item

  • The date and time of your trip

  • The Driver’s name or car details if you have them

Follow-up

ScoopCare will do their best to help and assist in connecting you with the Driver to coordinate the return of your lost item.

👉Tip: Always check the car and your belongings before leaving, and make a note of any unique identifying details for your items in case they are left behind.
