How can I leave feedback about a fellow commuter?

Feedback helps us maintain a safe, respectful, and reliable carpool community. After each trip, commuters can share feedback about their experience so we can continue improving Scoop for everyone.

  • Riders can leave feedback about their Driver and any other Riders in the carpool.

  • Drivers can leave feedback about their Riders and about the route itself.

You can also reach out to ScoopCare at any time if you’d prefer to share feedback, concerns, or questions directly with our support team. All commuter feedback shared with ScoopCare is treated as completely confidential. 


How do I give feedback about another commuter?

After each completed trip, you’ll be automatically prompted to leave feedback about the other commuters in your carpool.

You’ll see two feedback options:

  • Give Praise
    Use this to share positive feedback about a commuter. From here, you can also mark the commuter as a Favorite, which increases the likelihood of being matched with them again in the future.

  • Suggest Improvement
    Use this if you’d like to flag a concern, suggest an improvement, or indicate that you’d prefer not to be matched with this commuter again.

How do I block a commuter?

If you’d prefer not to be matched with a specific commuter again, you can place a personal block directly in the Scoop app. Blocking is private, and the other commuter will not be notified.

While leaving feedback after a trip

  • Select Suggest Improvement

  • On the next screen, toggle “Don’t match me with this carpooler” to ON

  • Submit your feedback to place the personal block

After a trip has completed

  • Go to Account > Settings > Commute > Activity & Payments

  • Find the trip under the Activity tab

  • Tap More next to the payment

  • Toggle “Don’t match me with this carpooler” to ON

If the carpool is canceled

  • Open the canceled trip from the Commute screen

  • Select “Don’t match me with this carpooler”
    (This option is available for approximately 2 hours after the cancellation)

📢  Important: Commuters are never notified when a block is placed, and the other person will not know that you’ve chosen not to match with them again.

If you ever change your mind and would like to match with a blocked commuter in the future, please reach out to ScoopCare for help.


Will the other commuter see my feedback?

No. Your feedback is never shared directly with the other commuter. However, all feedback is reviewed by our Trust & Safety team and used to help improve the overall community experience.


Can I see my own feedback?

Feedback is not visible to commuters and cannot be shared upon request. It is used internally by our Trust & Safety team to support safety, quality, and ongoing improvements across the platform.


How do I give feedback about my route? (Drivers only)

Drivers can leave feedback about their route preferences. For more details, please refer to our article on setting route preferences.
