How does Scoop match Riders and Drivers?

  • Updated

The best method to ensure you're matched in the most efficient and enjoyable carpool is to schedule a carpool prior to the matching periods. This allows the Scoop algorithm to consider a number of factors for each potential match including proximity between commuters, added trip time, what company you work for, and past trip experiences.

If you're a Driver and did not schedule a carpool prior to the scheduling deadline, you'll be able to manually create a carpool by using The carpool shortlist.

Note: The carpool shortlist is currently unavailable for commuters using shift scheduling. Shift scheduling is only available for commuters whose employers are a part of a specific Enterprise Carpool Program. If your employer is a part of a program offering shift scheduling, you will see it within the Scoop app.
